Off We Go

I am headed to New York today to start my BlogTour journey. I’m arriving a few days early so I can spend some time with my good friend Kristen Stewart {not the actress but still as fabulous}. She has loads of stuff planned for us to do so I hope I’m not too sick to enjoy it all. Tuesday is the official start to BlogTour and I can’t wait to share everything Veronkia, her team and the wonderful sponsors have in store for us. You can follow our twitter, Facebook and Instagram to see everything I’m falling in {and out of} love with. I’m really excited about this trip. To tell you the truth I don’t really travel all that much. But for some strange reason I am pretty good at packing. Here are a few basic necessities I need when packing for a trip. First, I have to have luggage that maximizes. Thankfully hubby does travel a lot and a big roomy suitcase can always be found. Second I need a dopp kit to put my face in. This is where I pack my face creams, toothbrush, makeup remover and more. The third thing I need is my makeup travel bag. This is where I keep my pretty face {aka makeup}, jewelry, curling iron and perfumes. I like the ones with the soft materials because they fit better inside my suitcase. Last but not least I have to have a good travel wallet. I love having everything in one place because all my loose cards and tickets just get lost in my handbag full of magazines. TAS is no joke and I don’t have time to rummage through the vortex that is my purse. And there you have it! The few items I need to pack right. So, what are some of the items you need when packing for a trip? Safe Travels Everyone!…xoxo Typhanie

Spring Time In New York

The spring H&M catalog arrived in my mail box the other day and it took all of my self-control not to run out the door with my credit card yelling “charge it”. Also there is no spring in Southern California. It was 90 degrees this past weekend. We go from rain boots straight into flip flops and tank tops. But if we did have a real spring, how gorgeous it would be? Since I’m headed to New York in a couple of days to experience real spring time, I figured I would do a bit of outfit daydreaming. This is the outfit I see myself wearing in Central Park while eating a slice of pizza. I would then proceed to get pizza sauce all over the white shirt, forcing me to keep my coat buttoned all day to hide the stain. Which will be fine since it’s pretty chilly in New York right now. Oh, how I love outfit daydreaming. What outfits are you day dreaming about right now? Happy Shopping Everyone!…xoxo Typhanie

Freehab Charity Design Project

At the end of last year I had the pleasure of working on another charity design project with Vanessa De Vargas and Vanessa Kogevinas This time I decorated a room for Freehab with my partner in crime Allan Dallatorre. Freehab is headed by actors, Russell Brand and Danny Trejo and Lauri Burns of The Teen Project. Freehab is a rehab center located in Sun Valley. The project will help those who want and need to get back on their feet who are suffering from alcohol and drug addiction problems. Allan and I didn’t have a lot of time or supplies so we worked with what we had. Allan was genius enough to create two faux headboards with just a can of sample paint. A few key thrift store pieces and a reupholstered chair really brought it all together. I hope the residences at Freehad enjoy the space we created and I hope it helps them with their path to recovery. Happy Giving Everyone!..xoxo Typhanie

Donations provided by: Architectual Digest, The Land of Nod, Apt2B, Gotcha Covered, Jen Ramos of Made by Girl, Given Campell Wallpaper, Ferm Living, Vanessa Schreiber.

P.S. I LOVE charity projects and I LOVE giving back. I hate that it has taken me so long to post about this wonderful project but sometimes life just gets in the way. Many of the centers I’ve worked with still need donations. Anything you can provide is a blessing. I’ve included a list of the charities below. Thank You!!

The Costume Designers Guild Awards

Normally my Saturdays are quite boring but thanks to my friend Jill Seidner this Saturday will be nothing to yawn at. Jill and I will be attending the 15th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. As someone who is très in love with everything fashion you can just imagine how over the moon I am right now. I’m still not 100% sure what outfit I will be wearing to this shindig but I’m certain I’ll find something at the eleventh hour. Having never attended an award show this should be fun. I shall try my best to tweet and Instagram all the fabulousness. So what are your weekend plans?

Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed weekend….xoxo Typhanie

BlogTour NYC to AD Home Design Show

I am so honored and excited to be one of the bloggers chosen to participate in BlogTour NYC. Veronika and the Modenus team has done such a great job putting together these blogtours, I was beyond giddy when I got the invite. The New York City Tour will be focused around the AD Home Design Show. The 13th annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show will feature the latest furniture, accessories, lighting, art, kitchen, bath and building products. I’ve always wanted to attend this show especially this year since my  friend Brandon Smith’s magazine theTwentySix is one of the media sponsors. So, from March 18th till the 22nd I shall be in the Big Apple causing a bit of trouble and trying my best to look as fabulous as Carrie from Sex and The City. I promise to take a break from sipping cosmopolitans to fill you in on all the amazingness this trip has to offer…Happy Traveling Everyone!

P.S. If you get a chance please check out all the talented bloggers that will be on the tour. The lineup is quite fabulous! xoxo Typhanie

Free Valentine’s Day Print

Since I am sans my plus one this valentine’s day I don’t really have any plans. Granted I don’t believe you need a significant other to enjoy a day all about love but it’s always nice to share it with someone special. And since I’m always down for popping open a bottle of champagne, here is a free print of some bubbly you can enjoy all year round…Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!!!
