Art in the Music

For many years I’ve thought that framed music sheets would be so romantic. Can you imagine having the music sheets to your wedding song hanging in your bedroom or your favorite lullaby on display in your baby’s nursery?  Little things like this is what makes a house a home. The problem I would run into when thinking of this art piece is, “where do I find the sheet music?”. Now that’s not a problem. I came across during my daily Pinterest browsing. Cantorion is a free sheet music repository. Free to download, print and frame. I love this idea and hope to give it a try soon. So what do you think, great way to add a bit of music to your art? DIY Personalized Life Planner

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you have all been having a wonderful and blessed New Year so far. I know it has been awhile since I’ve posted but I really needed to take some time off to recharge my batteries. Spent a lot of time with family and friends this Holiday Season which was amazing and surely helped me to relax. Now I’m back and excited to get 2014 started. Granted I did just use the first two days of the New Year to get over a major hangover but now I’m truly ready. To kick things off I’ve made another DIY personalized life planner. There is no cleaning check list included in this years because I barley used it last year. I guess I don’t like cleaning. What’s that saying, “Life’s too short to clear your own house”. I’m already on that bandwagon. Anywho, I hope you enjoy the printable and the calendar helps you create the year you want. Please feel free to give me any feedback you want including what you think should be in next years calendar. A of the items included are listed below…Happy Organizing Everyone!

Around The Table

Table1Just a couple of days left before we are in full entertaining mode. Do you have your tablescape planned for Thanksgiving? Are ideas already dancing around your head for your Christmas Shindig? Here are a few festive tablescape ideas that have caught my eye. The above image from whimsical home and garden shows a wonderful way for your guest to take part in the true meaning of Thanksgiving. This DIY place mat is sure to be a hit.

For Christmas, using mini dollar store stockings to hold utensils is an amazing way to dress up your x-mas table. You can take it to the level by adding a little treat inside.

For a New Year celebration, decorating with a champagne or wine cork is a must. Using said cork as a place holder is just all kinds of fabulousness.

You can use some of our beautiful textiles to dress up your table this holiday season. The combo of Jessica and Cleo create a lovely Christmas setting that your guest are sure to rave about.

And to bring in the New Year, this Grady and Fletcher duo is perfect for New Year wishes and champagne dreams…Happy Entertaining Everyone!
